So this is the first post on the Healthy Sweat, we have all decided in my family to work on our health, (some need more work than others aka moi). So in order to get this thing started off right I have taken a measurement of my weight, which is 218 at 5pm on this 2nd of June (yes I know the scale reads more but you should see the camera I am using...). In addition I took a look at my BMI (body mass index) which right now has me listed as overweight, grrrrr.So the summer goal is to lose somewhere in the vicinity of 15 lbs, with the ultimate goal of getting back down to around 185. Hopefully I can accomplish this goal in time for my upcoming wedding on 11/7/2009.
I started last night with going to my gym and working out on an elliptical trainer for 35 mins, plus a 5 min cool down. All in all I burned somewhere of the vicinity of 540 calories, tonight I am going for a long walk. I am looking forward to what y'all have to add, and I wish us all luck!
